Since April 2006, Four Seasons has reduced consumption of electricity by over 50,000 kWh per month through the integration of an Energy Management System with its refrigeration system software. This allows monitoring and control of power usage - in turn limiting peak demand and electric consumption. |

Power Quality Project
(Energy Conservation)
In March 2008 Four Seasons installed a system to improve electric power quality. This reduces electrical equipment maintenance and eliminates voltage surges, by providing voltage stability & improvement, current balancing & reduction, power factor correction, and increased kVA capacity. Additionally, it is projected to reduce our kWh consumption, lowering energy costs by another 15% annually. |

Lighting Retrofit Project
(Energy Conservation)
Four Seasons has eliminated the release of millions of pounds of CO2 annually by replacing metal halide lamps with T8 fluorescent lamps in its distribution center. This lamp replacement program has yielded significant energy savings - for an annual projected reduction of over 900,000 kilowatt-hours.This also has provided a 40% increase in lighting levels and a decreased cooling load for our refrigeration system. This project will completely pay for itself in 17 months

The Four Seasons family of companies is committed to conserving resources and achieving sustainability. We are currently exploring alternative energy and conservation opportunities with solar and wind power, light tubes for office areas, day-lighting sensors, LED lamps and reducing the loss of cold air from refrigerated areas. Finally, we are researching possible certification through LEED-EB (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Existing Buildings) to achieve our energy and environmental goals.
